Troche, Joaquin “King”, 92, husband of Teresa (Algarin) Troche, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Subacute Care Center, Forestville. He was born June 17, 1917 in Dorado, Puerto Rico. He worked at the former Bristol Brass in the casting room for many years before retiring. After his retirement, he worked part time for the BCO. He was a faithful member of 7th Star of Jacob Assembly of God. He was a devoted baby sitter and grandpa to Ronald C. Davis, Lorenzo F. Brown, Jr., Mario E. Rivera and Malcolm J. Brown all of Bristol. They will miss him dearly. Besides his wife he leaves two sons and daughter-in-laws, Miguel and Petra Rentas of New Britain and Carlos and Dolores Cruz, Jr. of Bellevue, NJ, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Nilsa and Mario Rivera, Sr. and Yolanda and Lorenzo Brown, Sr. all of Bristol, and Linda Rentas, ten grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sons, two brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be held Friday, at 12 noon at Beulah AME Zion Church, 138 Circle St., Forestville. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 10 to 12 noon at the church. Burial will follow in Forestville Cemetery.
